Every time a hero uses Homes for Heroes, they also help other heroes in need.

 

A portion of the earnings from every transaction is donated to the Homes for Heroes Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance to heroes in need.

 

This “Circle of Giving” ensures that your homeownership journey benefits not only you but also other heroes across the country.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Qualifying heroes include current and former firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, law enforcement officers, and all first responders. This also includes active military, reserves, and veterans from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Additionally, all healthcare professionals, educators (Pre-K through post-secondary), professors, and administrative staff qualify as heroes. If you are unsure whether you qualify, feel free to contact us to confirm your eligibility.

  • On average, heroes save $3,000 when buying or selling a home with Homes for Heroes, or around $6,000 if they do both with Homes for Heroes. Specifically, when working with our real estate specialists, heroes can save approximately $2,300 per transaction. Additionally, savings can include $500 on lender fees, $150 on title service, and $50 on a home inspection when using our network of mortgage, title, and inspection specialists.

  • When a hero uses Homes for Heroes, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Homes for Heroes Foundation, which provides assistance to heroes in need. Your participation supports a greater cause, ensuring that more heroes can find their dream home while giving back to their community.

  • If you're currently working with a real estate agent or loan officer and they would like to help you save more money through Homes for Heroes, simply have them contact Ann. She'll will explain how they can participate in the program and help you maximize your Hero Rewards.

  • No, you don’t need to use all of our specialists to benefit from Hero Rewards. However, each specialist you work with (such as real estate, mortgage, title, or inspection) will add to your savings. Many heroes choose to work with as many local specialists as possible to maximize their total savings.

  • If you're not ready, that’s okay! It’s still a good idea to connect with a real estate or mortgage specialist to discuss your future goals. Our specialists can provide insight on preparation, timing, and important steps to take before you begin the buying, selling, or refinancing process.   • Our mortgage specialists can guide you in the right direction. They follow all federal and local lending guidelines and can provide the most accurate information about your ability to obtain financing. A portion of every transaction fuels the “Circle of Giving,” where part of the earnings are donated to the Homes for Heroes Foundation.
